OK, that's scary...
Not as scary as the devil who will lord over you if you're not baptised.

I guess the UK being vast majoritedly (?) nominal Anglicans, most Brits probably don't even know what a protestant is. (N.I. excluded, of course).
Well, Anglicans aren't real Protestants anyways.

P.S. Don't confuse England with UK. I think you'll find more Presbyterians in Scotland. Along with Catholics.

An interesting and courageous post.....all credit to you for doing so and risking the scepticism that you got (a tiny bit )

But the bit that jumped out at me was that bit above.....

I think I'll just post a and leave it at that....
I find it big of him to consider his girlfriend's feeling about it and he is ready to do it for her. Sadly nowadays people are getting too selfish and me me me with the I'll never do that for anyone, bla bla bla. (And they stay alone with their big horse principal...)

In a relationship it is about being able to put the other one first, being able to compromised for something better.

If he does it because it is important for his girlfriend, or her family, so it's all fine. He loves her enough to know he wants to be with her and if this is the only thing in the big picture, big deal!

In some protestant groups, that's the exact requirement - especially those that only practice believers (adult) baptism.
I was talking about real Churches - therefore excluding any of the break-away brigade who'll do anything to get attention...

<ducks for cover>

Hello,

- How is the procedure to do it discretely ... minimum necessary conditions? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
TapiroLee
Try to find a pastor or priest who will baptize you by a lake on a not too busy day with your gf present.
That'll be discreet and give you a souvenir of something not too church like.

If the personne who baptized you could put it all on a paper, sign it and put a stamp on it that would be great.
If you then have to pay a little something for the admin side of it all that wouldn't be too dramatic wouldn't it.

.. and for those scary dreams ... I nearly laughed ... you must have heard some gruesome stories ... try to keep a cool head about what you're hearing there or probably have seen also.
