Little Critters is looking for new members to join the group. This non-profit group is aimed at Mummies or Daddies and 0-4 year olds.

Activities include snack time, craft, stories and singing, as well as free play.

We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:45-11:15am in Hoengg, Zurich. The address is Im Oberen Boden 7, 8049 Zurich. The nearest bus stop is Geeringstrasse. From there, walk to the front of the bus (buses 46, 89 and 485) and then take the first road to the right. Im Obern Boden 7 is just a few houses up on the left. There is also a number of parking places out front for those wanting to drive. Two playgroups run in this building. Our room is the one at the end of the corridor.

I run playgroups & a Baby Cafe just outside the city of Zurich. It is not in Hoengg, but I do have existing members who come from Hoenng & Zurich city and they assure me (& this is evidenced by their continued presence) it is worth the journey. I have watched as many people form networks and make new friends at my playgroups and meetings. Please PM me if you wish to know the location & view the webpage.

The Swiss section of Anglo Info also has a good list of playgroups in and around Zurich.

There are also non-profit meet up groups at www.meetup.com - called "Zurich Moms" and "Zurich and Baden Moms" and one on the Meilen side "Apple Tree customer meet up group".

Once you know the right networks, it really is easy to meet new people and enjoy playdates and getting outdoors with the children here. Good luck.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, I would be glad to join your playgroup once. I don´t have a problem to drive a bit out of Zurich.
We are new in Switzerland, just arrived in Jan from the Middle East. For my kids (3.4 and 18 months) it´s quite hard to have no playmates anymore.

I checked your location. You are looking at 40 minute drive (through Zurich, so could be more if there is traffic). It is an hour by public transport. Just to reply to the earlier posts, Little Critters folded about a year ago as far as I can remember - not enough members. There are still quite a few English speakers in that area and Wipkingen GZ is quite a good place to meet other English speakers and find activities,
