How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

Hi folks

I was wondering if it is possible to check how much I did use of my Postfinance Visa Credit using the Internet, is that possible? or do I have to keep all my purchase tickets to control it ?

Cheers

Preferable, it is better you go to the Post and tell them you want to check online your account and they will tell you what to do. For this you need to sign up to check but first ask them.

call the Postfinance cardcenter (number on your card). They will provide you with the information after a series of security questions.

Re: How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

my experiences are telling me that PostFinance is pretty 3rd World bank on-line, compared to what I had with Bank of America.

No real-time dashboard/management of my expenditures for my bank-accounts, credit-cards, and brokrage accounts..all available on one page with ability to manage all accounts in just a couple clicks.

I'm very unhappy with the on-line backwardness of PostFinance, can anyone recommend me a good bank with on-line services consistent with Bank of America type offerings?

Thanks!

I can check balances and transactions just fine with my Post account..and transfer money domestically/internationally without a problem. Perhaps credit card access is more "third world" though I find that term inappropriate in Switzerland. "Old world" maybe...

Thanks Oakley, yeah I just don't like the dashboard of Post-Finance. Also, its not very intuitive, looks like a non-native english speaker put the thing together, still takes me time to get the exact info i'm looking for despite having the accounts for nearly a year now. Guess I like the BoA dashboard alot..also my Citibank one was good too. I just don't like having to wait for montly statements. It's not the way I'm use to managing my credit card accounts (this was something I did on a weekly basis). Here i can't do it, so its just annoying to me.

We can debate on choice of "old world vs. third world' in reference to Switzerland over some American wine (not Swiss wine, cause that's just...um...third world) .

Re: How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

I think the swiss have big issue with the banking online and the online transaction ,

Last month i transfered money from credit suisse online banking and till now still not arrive to the receiver account !! thats looks very crazy , to spend one month for normal swift transfer which usually take not more than 2 days max with the others bank ( from my other bank experience )

And every week they send me online report like our correspondent bank is xxx then next they say the fees is and so on every week , why all that ?? what about if i am sending this money to someone who need it urgent ? he should be die now or he will think i am playing game with him and i did never send any ? tough call

UBS have everything nicely laid out online. Problem with them is that I have returned to Switzerland and they want me to pledge cash against my credit card which annoys the sh1t out of me so looking at options. Also, I ordered a second card for my wife in late October and it never came. So talking to Post Finance tomorrow.... as I believe their service is essentially free.

UBS, you have annoyed me. And I have been a loyal (stupid!?) customer for 10 years.

Very happy with PostFinance - switched over from UBS last year as fed up with high fees for everything and snooty service.

You can now have on-line access to your credit card info too.

Re: How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

Good to hear GS. I have an appointment with PF tomorrow at 10am. I have been scouring EF for the last 45 minutes as there are lots of posts dedicated to them, but not quite getting the info I need. And i've also looked at the PF website in English of course.

Do you have a recommendation on which account to go for - i'm looking for lowest fees possible. I can meet any of the minimum account balances if necessary. I am assuming that you need to have a private account before the credit card (though I see you can get credit cards at coop / migros, so maybe not needed). I really just want to be able to pay online and when on holiday in the main.

Cheers

Re: How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

If you are JUST after a credit card, I don't think you specifically have to have a current account with them. I think you have to pay 50CHF per year for the credit card, but then there is a rebate of 0.5% of everything you buy (1% in the first year when I signed up last year), so if you spend 10k on the card then it is free...

I have the full package from PF, including current, e-deposito and also our mortgage, and have found our advisor in Geneva very helpful and down to earth.

I also have a Coop credit card which was free if I remember correctly.

Presume you use the Coop card for the shopping then? It's always been my supermarket. Guess there must be some benefits. Will have to look into it after the Postfinance account is opened.

Re: How to check Postfinance Credit Card statement over the Internet?

I believe this option is available on-line under Credit Card.

I have this one for myself since November/December last year.

When you login to your on-line PostFinance account on the left hand side you have menu and there you need to find Credit Cards.

Cheers.

Exactly - you get double Coop points when using the credit card at Coop. Now I just need to work out what to spend them on :-)
