| | | Big Wall Street Crash Coming ... Is what we have seen up till now big? I doubt it.
On Wall Street the big boys have vanished. Look at this Market Watch report!
Insiders typically cash out big-time at the peak | Quote: | | | | Why the insiders have quit buying stocks
BOSTON (MarketWatch) — Something ominous is happening on Wall Street, but nobody has noticed.
The insiders have vanished.
Chief executives. Board members.
The head honchos. The people who know.
Just a few weeks ago, they were out in force, buying up shares in their own companies with both hands.
No longer. They’ve disappeared. Almost overnight.
“They’ve stopped buying,” says Charles Biderman, the chief executive of stock market research firm TrimTabs, which tracks the data. “Insiders aren’t buying this rally.” | | | | | More here>>>> http://www.marketwatch.com/story/why...cks-2011-09-21 |

Not contradicting it, but i wouldn't have much confidence in the judgment of most of these "insiders" in the first place...

Aren't "insiders" the ones who caused the problems we're experiencing to begin with? You know, the self-proclaimed "smartest guys in the room" who created their own conditions for disaster but "no one could have seen it coming"? Those "insiders"?

That said one doesn't have to admire them to take notice of what they are DOING.
When rats start deserting the ship it is also possibly useful to take notice of what they are doing. One may still detest rats but maybe it's time to put on a life jacket.

Otherwise you're just bobbing around with a load of starving rats!

For those who prefer less spectacular reporting one could also look at the FOMC Press Release of September 21, 2011.
In that report the words "there are significant downside risks to the economic outlook".
As one commentator said that word 'significant' is significant when the FOMC uses it. FOMC Press Release dated September 21, 2011 | | This user would like to thank spalebärg for this useful post: | |

Well even if WallStreet and the rest of the financial market goes into terminal meltdown, who cares?
Not me, I don´t have enough money to worry about and if we get the kind of hyperinflation of the twenties I will be comforted in the knowledge that even the richest of the rich may have to cut down on the caviar.
I am gonna do what the rest of our species does in times of crises, I will stick my head in the sand, make LALALALALALA! Noises and wait for it to pass.
To paraphrase Stalin: No money, no Problem!

Let's not confuse American Democracy with American Capitalism. I know the line is blurred (often and repeatedly) but they really are not synonymous.

Kind of like how it's OK now to end a sentence a preposition with.

hmm...to me this looks like a clear violation of Amendment I of the Bill of Rights.
Although not described as a democracy by the founding fathers, the United States founders also shared a determination to root the American experiment in the principle of natural freedom and equality
