I see that 2nd and 3rd pillar contributions are not tax deductible in US. I couldn't find any clear statement for the AVS contribution. When we are preparing the US tax return, can we deduct the amount we had to pay into AVS?

According to our tax preparer, no, but am interested to see if someone else answers differently!

I ended up not deducting it. I still couldn't find any clear statement or ruling on the subject, though.
