What does NLP mean?

I'm filling out a loan form and one of the questions on the bank details sheet asks for 'NLP et lieu'. My terrible language abilities means that I've just about worked out what 'lieu' is(!), but NLP?

Thanks in advance for the help...

Re: What does NLP mean?

While is completely failing to help me, my memory is that it is the equivalent of ZIP code (probably acronym for something like Numéro de Lieu Postal).

Where are you, , when I need you

[Added]
I suspect that I am wrong, ZIP code seems to be NPA (numéro postal d'acheminement) ... no idea then what NPL means.

Re: What does NLP mean?

Perfect, thanks! And yes, Google was bringing up 'neuro-linguistic programming' - I thought it was a safe assumption that it wasn't what I was looking for...

Re: What does NLP mean?

What you probably should have seen is Numéro postal, lieu. Postal code and town.

They might have used NPL on its own as a short form but this would be a bit strange.

The short form for Postcode in CH is PLZ (German) and NPA (French).

The French definition for NPA is given in the post above.

You sometimes see Code Postal and Numéro Postal used for the locality rather than NPA. For example it would be CH-1000 Lausanne. The 1000 would be the NPA for one portion of the city. Smaller towns/villages would have only one code.
