| My wife (from France) will be taking a position in Zurich. I hope to be able to keep my current job. We both live in the US currently, but will (obviously) move to Zurich soon.
With respect to paying income taxes...how does telecommuting from the US get taxed? I looked through the various search results and I could not find an example like mine.
Does anyone have a clue? Will i have to pay taxes to both countries?
thank you kindly | |

You will be working and residing in Zurich, regardless of where your company is based. Thus, you pay Swiss taxes.
Additionally, since uncle Sam retains the right to scr*w his citizens abroad, you will be required to file a US tax return as well. If you make more than a certain amount of money (searchable) you will also have to pay taxes to the US.
