What not clear for me is tax refund process in case of delivery to pickup station
Do they send that VAT form along with goods?

Just picked up an Amazon delivery (arrived 2 days after ordering) from Hermes in Hohentengen.

As expected, an Ausfuhrschein / VAT form was not included.

If you are ordering something from Amazon valued above the break-even point (taking into account extra postage to CH, customs handling charges, less the 10% saving in DE MwST), you need to have it delivered to an address in CH.

thanks Stu for the info, here is a response I got today from Amazon.de

Quote:
Your residence is abroad (non-EU) and you would like to export goods ordered from us? We will be pleased to directly refund the VAT in that case.

Please keep in mind to set the billing address (in German "Rechnungsadresse") to your place of residence in Switzerland in order to avoid misunderstandings regarding the VAT refund.

To qualify for the refund, the following legal deadline must be met: the item must be exported before the third calendar month following the month in which the goods were received has expired.

For legal reason, we require proof that:

*your residence is abroad (*non*EU) as far as this is not evident from the export certificate, and
*that the items you purchased from Amazon.de have been declared at the customs

Please send both documents as well as the original invoice (essential!) to the following address:

Amazon.de
Umsatzsteuererstattung
Im Gewerbepark D 55
93059 Regensburg
Deutschland

I think you can print the form and fill it yourself
