Tax - Age: any connection between the two?

I'm running through a few scenarios on lohncomputer.ch and notice hat he amount of tax I would pay seems to increase if I change my age to 45 and more again at 55. Is this correct? Does the amount of tax you pay increase as you get older?

No, but pension fund contributions increase with age.
