Hi, just got a weird letter put in my letter box. Abholungsaufforderung, Zahlungsbefehl. Translates to Payment Order Collection I believe.

It's from the Stadtamman und Betreibungsamt, very strange as it came hand delivered and just my name written on the front in pen. Any chance this could be a hoax, I'm normally good at paying my bills etc

Hi country mouse! Thats weird indeed, I wouldn't like getting a letter from the Betreibungsamt. :S Could it be a mistake?!

Here it says (in German) that in can be handgiven by an employee of the Betreibungsamt or per mail.

I dont think this is a hoax, but if you're good at paying your bills and all there is nothing to worry about I think. It can be an error from the creditor - this happened here to someone in Aargau (if you can understand German!)

Sounds like they're a bailiff of sorts. What's weird is that I would have expected a name of creditor or an invoice attached......nothing!
