PostFinance debit card in UK

Hi EF's,

I will be going to UK for a business trip and my credit card limit is going to the end so I will probably need to withdraw some cash using my PostFinance debit card (bank card). My question is can I use it in the UK ATM (cash machine) to withdraw money from my account?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to, my sons do it all the time when they're in the UK.

Yep. I use mine all the time in the UK. You might have problems with the small temporaray cash machines you find in corner shops though. Stick to the main bank and building society machines.

Normally yes, as long as they're using the normal systems (some building socs, years back, would not). You'll be charged for withdrawals by PF, though, so make them large sums, not multiple small withdrawals. Shops and restaurants are a different matter, so don't rely on this card as your only means of payment when out and about. Some will take it, others may not.

Re: PostFinance debit card in UK

Did you mean the PostFinance MasterCard Value Debit Card ( which you should be able to withdraw ) or the normal Postfinance yellow ATM card ?

Re: PostFinance debit card in UK

Even the normal yellow PostFinance card has a PLUS logo:

Nearly all UK cash machines are part of this network. I've never found a machine that wouldn't take my PostFinance card (the normal yellow one).
