Basic tax help needed in Fribourg

Hi Everyone,

Hubby and I are embarking on our first ever tax return in Switzerland (Fribourg commune)...and a little confused.

Our situation is fairly simple tax-wise (we don't own any property, fancy stock portfolios or anything like that!), just two salaries and two bank accounts back in NZ.

We don't think our situation really requires us to go to a tax professional, but would like the help of someone who has filled in these forms before and can reassure as which numbers need to go in which boxes. Also want to learn so we can do it ourselves next time rather than relying on someone else.

We have spent a long time trawling through the french guides that come with the tax forms and also the forum threads, and have gathered together all the necessary documents and numbers.

So is there anyone out there who has filled in the Fribourg forms before and might be able to hold our hands through the form-filling?? Drinks will of course be on us (or alternatively we are heading to UK in April and can bring you back plenty of brown sugar!!!)

Thanks!!

There is also a really good PC programme for Fribourg taxes, available from the canton tax website.

One nice thing is, you can import your personal details from the previous year's return.

Another offer to help here. We've been doing it for over 10 years now.
