postfinance mastercard

Hi,

1.Does anybody know how i can check my mastercard balance online? it does'nt show in e-finance system!

2. I'm really wondered how postfinance mastercard work! i just recieved a letter indicating 100 CHF as the card's total credit and 12.5 CHF as debits (due to sth I bought online) and the balance is nearly 87 chf.
The question is what i should pay now to postfinance?

Re: postfinance mastercard

I think you will find a toll free 0800 number on your plastic card. Ask them, they will check your details over the phone, and then answer your questions.

Or you could go to the next Post Finance office.

Re: postfinance mastercard

1. You can't. I phoned them up once and asked the same question.
2. The outstanding credit will be deducted from your account automatically, unless you have chosen to pay manually.

Re: postfinance mastercard

You can now view PostFinance Mastercard balances on line - I can even see my prepaid Mastercard Value details. This is a fairly recent offering (I think it started about 3 or 4 months ago). I don't remember whether it appeared automatically or not - but I vaguely remember opting for it. Best to give them a call and ask - it certainly did not use to be possible but is now and it shows transactions since your last statement and real time available balance.

Note that the card(s) do not appear with your list of accounts on E-finance - instead they appear when you click on "Credit cards' on the menu on the left side of the screen.

Excellent news. It certainly wasn't an option last time I checked (last Spring/early Summer).

Sure enough, just click on the 'Credit Cards' link on the left-hand side and you'll find all your transaction details in realtime.

Re: postfinance mastercard

You can also register to check your current total by SMS (just send "cardsaldo + last 4 digits of card" to 963, cost of an sms + 20ct) which I've found very useful.

I call my SBB Visa card, and I call both my Coop + Mastercard, I had no problems discussing my payments and where they had (wrongly) put them.

What I meant was, I asked them if there was a way to check the balance online. I was able to discuss anything else with them; payments, balance etc.

Are you saying you only have a credit limit of 100.-? For a credit card, that's about as much use as a chocolate teacup.

This sounds more like a prepaid cash card, not a credit card. Did the 100 francs come out of your normal account and onto this one?

No, I checked the normal account, nothing has happened there.

Maybe some kind of promotion where you get initial credit of CHF 100 with a new card?
