Crossing the border ( bringing items from NL to CH )

Hi,

I have a question regarding electrical equipments. I have a friend from Netherlands who want's to visit me this year. If he is buying for me some audio/video equipment in NL ... when he will cross the border by car should he pay any taxes or not ?
