| | | How long it takes a bank transfer CH > CH ?
Hi, i sent a bank transfer yesterday evening from something I bought on the Internet. And I would like to know, when will the money arrive, because I can only pick the ware after the money has arrived. And I am going on holidays on saturday afternoon!
I sent the money yesterday in the evening at 18:00 (wednesday).
Do you think they will receive the money tomorrow?
Thanks in advance

Tom | | | | | From yesterday evening (WE) to today (TH) ??? So fast?
I didn't receive any automated email saying that I can pick up the ware. Perhaps tomorrow.

I didn't receive any automated email saying that I can pick up the ware. Perhaps tomorrow. | | | | | Usually, within the same bank, overnight like Tom mentioned.
If going between different banks, it could arrive tonight. Worst case, Monday morning.
Bank transactions happen during the wee hours of the morning. Thus, your payment went out this morning and should arrive tomorrow morning, Friday.
If the seller is in a good mood, they may release the goods if you can show proof of payment. Though, most do not. Easy way to get ripped off. Did you expedite the payment?

Either next day, or the day after, normally. I think it depends on whether the beneficiary uses the same bank as the payee.

don't forget to factor in the financial controlling aspect here. That might add another day or two.

JC | | | | | I hope you are right, and I get the presents on time.
There're just some presents and are available on the shop. I only need that the payment arrives!
I didn't expedite them. What do you mean with it?

Expedite is a payment option to speed up the transfer. Normally, transfers are done in lots. If UBS has 54000 customers that are making a payment (via e-banking, MultiMat machine, etc.) to Post Finance on any particular day, the funds will be sent in one lot with a list of where the funds came from and should be distributed to. Expedite may cost extra and ensures that your payment is one of the first to be transferred, maybe even during the same day.

I've done PF-PF, and it took less than an hour.

Tom | | | | | Without a doubt, within the same financial institution it depends if the key-punchers have the time. If they are caught up and yours comes in, consider it done!
Last week a cash deposit at the Post window to my PF account was also credited within an hour. Nice

The transfer has arrived today early and now they sent the ware to the filial...
I called them saying if I can pick it up, and they say that they have it available but I have to wait until they send exactly mine. Crazy. Why do they show "verfügbar" in the internet? Really crazy...
It could come today or tomorrow... I hope on time.

Interdiscount....... | | | | | What some people go through to save a few Franks. All worried about online payment and how you have to have it before Saturday. When the whole time the article was on stock at the local shop.
Was it worth it wasting my time?
I think another red spot is deserved.

Oh you should have mentioned InterDiscount in your first post. I have experience, I would never order again for delivery to one of their shops.
On the bright side, I ordered and paid for a new phone at Digitec yesterday and have it in my hands since 1100 this morning after the postman dropped it off | | This user would like to thank 1SIX1 for this useful post:

JC | | | | | Of course it can be worth it. I ordered something online yesterday that was in stock at the shop and saved 100 CHF, so about 60% cheaper.
A stupid person can always go to the shop and spend the extra 100 CHF if they want too.

But stressing with online purchase, e-banking payment and delivery... all at the last minute before departing. Then... have to go pick it up.
Outta here.

I made a payment from my Credit-Suisse business account to my personal UBS account at 5am one morning. When I checked at 7am, the money had already been transferred.
I've had 24 hours turnaround with Digitec and Steg - my suppliers of choice.

JC | | | | | For 35 Francs!
But I have to accept that you are right.
I was in the shop and tried to explain the guy my situation, that I am flying tomorrow at 15:00 and I come back in the middle of january, and he ignored me totally. He saw in the system that the nexus is probably coming on monday but has 2 available there to sell! But he said that he couldn't sell me one because he has nothing to do with the purchases on the internet and my nexus MUSST COME. Really cold... I think I am trying to avoid that shop. And as farewell he told me: guten Flug! WTF! | | This user would like to thank Jonesy for this useful post:

From bank to bank it usually takes a day or two, depending on the time you submitted the payment and at what time the bank is processing the payments. If Postfinance is involved you may add a day or two, writing out of experience as it had been daily routine at work...
