I'd very much recommend the following guy as he's dealt with all my financial issues for years:

Ron Wuesten
Tectron AG
Gewerbepark
5506 Mägenwil

www.tectron-finanzberatung.ch
Tel. 062 889 89 67
E-mail: r.wuesten(at)tectron-finanzberatung.ch

He'll pretty much meet you where you like especially within cantons Zurich and Aargau anyway. He doesn't watch the clock and will always charge a fair all-in fee. E.g. I've a fairly complex tax return which usually means we meet for 2-3 hours during the process and this is less than CHF 500. He speaks very good English as he spends some time in Oz each year talking part in surf lifesaving championships. Lastly, he works with many expats from all over so is well aware of what's best.
This guy also sounds like just the ticket.
I've just had a Tower at their website & he's still listed as a partner
If anyone's had any (more) recent experience with him/them, happy to
buy you a jar or 2 of your favourite poison for an update.

Hope he likes to have a drink....
I used to have an advisor in Thalwil, a lawyer (think Hunter Thompson's 'advisor' in Fear & Loathing in Las V), who drank himself to death.....

enjoy the sunshine!

Finding a reasonable accountant

Hello Everyone,

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can recommend a reasonably priced accountant to do the tax return for a small home business in the Zug/Zurich area. The company was at a loss.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Re: Finding a tax advisor, consultant or accountant

I saw similar question from previous years, but also to refresh the thread, I look for a Tax adviser to help filling out tax forms, prefer to cost not more than 200 CHF for a not complicated family tax case, in ZH area.
Merci.

You might like to go to the BDO Visura website and contact their office in the Zurich area, check their rates before commiting. www.bdo.ch

Thanx for the hint.
However, normally big companies are much more expensive than individual tax advisers, specially for rather simple family tax filling.

Re: Finding a tax advisor, consultant or accountant

Yes of course, generally especially with the big four as they are called, however, my experience of BDO is that they are refreshingly cost effective. It is up to you but a phone call costs very littel.

I agree, I also have positive experience with BDO, both regarding cost and service.

Re: Finding a tax advisor, consultant or accountant

Hi..
I am looking for a tax consultant in the Vevey-Lausanne-Montreux area, who is aware of UK and Swiss rules. I was freelancing through my UK company before I moved to Switzerland. I would like to close my UK company and also look at where I have to pay taxes for these and how much.
Thanks for your help!

Geneva accountant

I've searched this thread, but can't find what I need, so let me post:

I have a small business (maybe 500,000 Chf this year in sales) and no employees.

Every quarter I see my accountant who does my TVA and then does my taxes once a year. He's moving on to bigger and better things and so need to find someone new in Geneva....French or English speaking. Suggestions ?

Re: Finding a tax advisor, consultant or accountant

I have to leave a recommendation for Denise Collin of Colfina (again, I'd say). I feel really guilty that I will shortly no longer be using her excellent services as my next return will be in Italian......

So, for between 200 and 300 francs, she does an excellent job. My tax return is not that simple either.

Will the person replacing me as a customer please stand forwards and say, "I"?

I'll second the recommendation. I've had some weird tax issues, and she's been excellent with them - and at a very reasonable price.
