Tax: Which passport to use when working in Switzerland?

Hi,

New to the forum and life in Switzerland, I am moving from Beijing but hold an EU(UK) passport and Australian passport. I'll be working in Zurich and wonder which passport will make me pay less tax.

Thanks for your advice!

I always use my EU passport here in Europe. Not because I'd pay more tax though, my Aussie passport would make living and working here more dificult.

Re: Tax: Which passport to use when working in Switzerland?

IMHO you stand much better chances w/ your EU passport, as Switzerland is engaging in bilateral talks w/ EU countries re. work permits, Schengen, etc.
Down here in TI it's full of italian nationals who are working here, and you may have heard/read of the angst surrounding the hypothesis of a major inflow of immigrants from East EU countries which have recently joined the european community.

As far as taxes are concerned, love it or leave it, really.... Switzerland isn't *that* bad, IMHO.

My first thought was neither - then I considered your path through permits and say EU.

But you're a real Aussie, I can see that now
