Does anyone know please if working in Geneva is better tax-wise than working in Vaud? I live in Vaud so have been told ,whereever I work makes no difference, as my tax bill will still be in the canton where I live. However having recently started a job in Vaud , I seem to be paying much more tax than I did for the same salary in Geneva! Can anyone help clarify this? Many thanks.

It really does depend on where you live in CH, some places are lower in taxes than others, a basically good site to use could be www.comparis.ch in english is comparis, I previously lived in nr Vevey some years ago and found it to be cheaper than where I live nr Nyon now. try

Apparently, in Vaud they changed municipal tax rates recently and this has not been updated in Comparis. I think you have to consult http://www.vaudtax.ch/ to be 100% sure.
