Credit Suisse student vs UBS student account

Dear
I need to open a student account, looking for free account, free credit card and with good customer service bank.

i found credit suisse and ubs better options, as withdrawing money from any atm is free.

if anyone can recommend, which one out of these two is good?

Rosso, money withdrawal for students and young account holders is free from any ATM in Switzerland. You can check it from here. https://www.ubs.com/ch/en/swissbank/...fessional.html

People are great at UBS, and absolutely ne fees for students for credit card, debit card etc.

Re: Credit Suisse student vs UBS student account

UBS student is awesome because it's completely free, you can get a credit card that helps in some transactions (rental cars etc), and you can withdraw money from any ATM in the country for free.

PostFinance is not that bad, buy the yellow card is not accepted abroad so don't have that as your only card or you'll have problems.

UBS/CS et al might be expensive for "normal" accounts, but when you're a student you get great perks.

I've tried them both with the student account. The UBS Campus accounts' advantage is huge in comparison to the Credit Suisse. You can compare it in 5 min on their websites.

Both Post Finance and UBS campus accounts are great. But with UBS Campus account you will get CHF 40 in form of KeyClub as a welcome gift, which you can use for shopping. Check this link for more information. http://www.ubs.com/ch/en/swissbank/p...es/campus.html

Are you sure about that? Credit card and debit cards are two different products. I dont think that you can withdraw money from ATM in Switzerland using Credit Card for free.

Also, note (if you read the fine print) that every transaction abroad with UBS credit card is charged with 1.75% fee (for shopping abroad), on top of not so great exchange rate. In my opinion 1.75% is way, way too much.

I'm sure because with my Maestro I've never been charged extra for withdrawing from another ATM. Credit card whole different animal, you get a flat fee for every cash withdrawal and it's more than 5CHF I think. Doesn't make sense since overdraft from your checking account is basically free and goes up to about 300 CHF (helped in a couple of emergencies)

CC costs are what they are, I couldn't be bothered to shop around to potentially save less than 20CHF a year... It's not that other credit cards don't have similar fees and at least there's no annual flat fee for the Campus account.
