It depends how greedy you want to get as well. Yes it has fallen a bit but there's no guarantee it will keep falling.

CHF is also considered a safe haven compared to the EUR isn't it? You don't have to sell at the top but close to it is good enough.

Do people really thing we might have chf/gbp back to 2.0 in the next 1-5 years?
the 2.X rates was likewise when GBP was exceptionally high and then it would have paid to sell the GBPs at the high point.

I just wish the CHF could appreciate even further against the Euro.

Spot-on Horatio!

Seems that the new peg is against the USD. Look how flat it is.
The SNB realized it was dangerous to be pegged to a sinking boat.

Interesting to see how this effects the property market, not sure I would want an 80% mortgage or even 65% come to that in CHF.

Gold was supposed to hold it's value, rather than being just another speculative investment

FX markets donít close every day (like the debt and equity markets do). Trading rotates with the globe from Europe to U.S. then to Asia back again.

Understood but I reckon that flat line will get bumpy in 3 hours or so.

Absolutely not, you would have lost twice in "conversion fee" anyway.
From USD to CHF and then from CHF to Euros.

Ok CHF gets you more Euros for now, but for what? shopping in Europe, ok, but you dont need millions of it.

You can convert directly USD to Euros.

hm...
then it would be USD -> euros then euros > CHF?

Unless I did not understood the market move, I though only the "cap" 1.20CHf to 1Euros was removed- Which translated into "chf" more valuable today (+20%) towards euros.

I haven't heard anything that euro dropped value regarding USD.

(I have no time to check in details)
