Re-importing Swiss product from UK

Due to a sale, and the favourable exchange rate, I bought a Swiss product online from the UK, for delivery to Switzerland.

If something has already been exported then brought back, what are the tax implications for this item?

I am used to paying import duty on online things I buy abroad. Just wondered if it was any different when the product originated in Switzerland.

Nothing is free in Switzerland. You have to pay your import taxes again.

The product may have originated in CH, however Swiss VAT was not charged as it was not sold in Switzerland. The VAT will be charged when it's imported plus some administrative charges.

Of course it won't be any different.. what led you to come up with that odd idea?

Well, it was only an idea, hence the question

Even with import duty it still worked out over 30% cheaper than buying here.
