Re: Bad time to buy property in Switzerland following currency fluctuations?

you want to live in the house for a longer period of time? If it is your dreamhouse on a good location it will keep the value and you will be happy living there. Buy the house. exchange your GBP and get it done. You will not be sorry.

you may very well re-open negotiations as you have nothing that binds you with the vendor. It is very unlikely that there is another buyer behind you in the queue. There is no such thing as moral in property buying...

... morally you know it's not right and one day somebody will do it back to you; it's really not nice.
Not really. This is not how karma works.

I havent ever done this to anyone, yet I was screwed over several times, after the verbal agreement and the handshake. Only to receive email a week after "sorry, but we decided to sell to someone else".

Even pre-agreement (which I didnt have), unless notarized, was having no legal validity.
