We are working on changing some of the investments that we have in the US. When we called one of our bank's financial advisors to discuss our plans, we were told that he is "not allowed" to offer us financial advice since we are currently living abroad. Has this also been your experience when trying to invest in your home country? Do any US citizens have recommendations of US banks or businesses that work with expats?
We know that there is a lot of bad advice out there for expats looking to invest, but we're wondering if there is also some good advice.
