Halbtax - Can I claim it in Tax Return?

Hello All,
Living in Zug.
I have to fill the Tax Return for 2014. In Form BA, we are allowed to claim travel costs to work. "Fahrkosten zwischen Wohn- und Arbeitsort". My question is regarding the "Halbtax abonnement" fee.
Can I claim that too, or is it only the ticket costs?
Thanks in advance.

Did you get the answer to your question? I am curious as well.

Would charging the full rate for the ticket from home to office work out to more than the halbtax and tickets combined? If yes, deduct that.

On tax forms you claim the full adult public transport cost, for the days you worked, not for the holidays....

If you drive to work, you state the shortest kilometer distance & number of days worked. The tax office calculates the tax relief.

deducting expenses for the car (normally around 70 rappen per km) will only be accepted if you save more than 60 mins of commuting time per day compared to using public transport.

Re: Halbtax - Can I claim it in Tax Return?

I just entered the full price of the halbtax, no questions were asked in return.

That was Kanton Zürich, 2013.

Not sure if it always goes through though.

Also, claim 700 for bike expenses (apparently up to 700 they don't ask for receipts, 700.01 and you have to provide receipts), and you can claim 300 as donations to street musicians without any receipts.
