UBS app from play store - not available in my country

I have tried and tried unsuccessfully to download the UBS mobile banking app to my android phone, but can't access it. I keep getting a message saying it is not available in my country. I have a Swiss sim card and have now connected and used a UBS Swiss credit card to purchase something I didn't want from the Play store thinking that might be the problem, but still no luck. My phone and Google accounts started life in Australia.

Has anyone else experienced and been able to fix this problem?

I think the UBS app may only be on the Swiss stores. It is not on US iTunes store. There may be an easier way but I got it to work for iPhone, etc. by going to the iTunes app store and at the bottom of the page used (under manage) "change country" and changing it to Switzerland. Then create another Apple account in the Swiss store, download the app and then set your account login back to your original store and original login for "normal" use. I did this on iTunes on my iMac and can use the UBS app on iPhone and iPad. You should keep track of your Swiss apple account id. I got a message about two months ago that my UBS app was out of date. When it wouldn't update on my US account, I switched countries, updated it, and then switched back. Worked perfectly.

I'm not an Android user, but something similar may work for you.

Thanks! I found the Google Play equivalent, and although it hasn't worked yet it's looking promising. Here are the instructions provided by Google for anyone else facing this issue:

If you're having issues viewing your intended country's Play Store and would like to change your default payment method or update an existing billing address in Google Wallet, please use the following steps:

1) Sign into your Google Wallet account to manage your payment methods (https://wallet.google.com/manage/paymentMethods)

2) Delete all of your payment methods from Google Wallet, and only add a card to one with a billing address located inside your desired country

3) Open the Play Store and navigate to any item available for download

4) Click to begin a download until you reach the "Accept and buy" screen (no need to complete the purchase)

5) Close the Play Store and clear data for the Google Play Store application (Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Clear Data) or clear your browser cache

6) Re-open the Play Store. You should now see the Play Store that matches your default payment instrument's billing country.

If you haven't yet added a payment method to your account for the first time, please add a card directly from the Play Store with a billing address that matches your intended country location. Then, follow steps 3 through 6 to show your intended country's Play Store.
