Wrong taxation

Hello guys,

I really hope that you can advise something.

The problem is that my husband gets the wrong taxation, and his employer refuses to change that.

Last month the local authorities already told the employer the right tax percentage but today we got the wrong salary slip again. The accountant says that she cannot change the tax rate because it is programmed in the software. That's because she is working for the office in Zurich, while my husband is located in Ticino.

Can you advise where we can go to complain? Or to change this tax rate by ourselves? Or do something? My husband was trying to solve this problem with employer for several months but now we need another way.

Re: Wrong taxation

Be happy, Zurich tax rates are lower than Ticino tax rates.

Re: Wrong taxation

Now the tax is about 20 per cent though it should be 9.5.

I didn't know about Zurich tax rates, I conclude that employer probably gave the false explanation of his behavior!

Are you including all deductions in your calculations? Have you checked http://www.lohncomputer.ch/en/home.html

As per Tom's post - using 7k per month gross I get 5,700chf in ZH and 5,600chf in Ticino for net salary

Re: Wrong taxation

Thanks for the link. Now I'm recalculating everything.
I do not include all deductions, I mean only the local tax. With all deductions it becomes 27 or 17 percent respectively.
