Re: Where all the rich people live

Something's not right with this map, it's showing Val Bedretto (dark green at the top left of TI) in the 9-12k range!

(perhaps it's because there is no 900-1200 range! )

Tom

Or perhaps there are only 20 tax payers in the village and 1 of them earns 125k per month - and his staff (the other tax papers) - 3k per month

I'd say this is newer than mine.

Your seems to suggest that the average salary in Rüschlikon ZH is 536k. Ok that's one of the lowest tax gemindes inZH but omg... Even with the Glencore CEO being there....

So, the village I live in in TI has higher numbers than the one I lived in in ZH.

Interesting.

Re: Where all the rich people live

I wonder if the income is per household or per "worker". The earlier is much easier to calculate but it would also imply that the median in Zürich is 60k per household which feels low

They might have an inhabitant with a very high income who lifts the average to that level. (The map depicts the average income, not the median.)

Frankly, I am surprised that you think so!

The average income of a household of two adults and two children is CHF 12'238 per month (147K per year). Far away from 120K pax!

Re: Where all the rich people live

With the range of so many different colours available - which could have been used for better impact - how typically Swiss to use just one, with subtle shade variations in order to achieve blandness ...... 50 shades of green.

It's more exciting if you print it in black and white

Isn't that called upscaling?
