Transferring money to the US

Hello, I'm new here in Switzerland - only 4 months so far... I need to transfer some money to my US account. They don't use IBAN there, but SWIFT instead. On the PostFinance e-finance site there is no provision for putting an account number and SWIFT code - just the SWIFT code. I called PostFinance, and they told me that it should be OK with just my name, address and SWIFT code. I then called my US bank (Suntrust) who told me that there should be some place to put my account number. I have the feeling that neither of them know how to do it...
Any advice is appreciated...

If you're not in a hurry, currencyfair is the way to go in my opinion. Might take a week to verify your identity the first go around but after that it'll take 2 days or so to exchange and transfer.
