Closing an account; transferring balance delay

I closed a PF E-savings account as of 1.10.15 and requested the balance be transferred to our Raiffeisen bank. However, the account has been closed (as 30.09), but the cash is yet to appear in the new account. Is this delay pretty much standard? The closure and destination account details were acknowledged in writing by PF.
Thought I would check here before resorting to a needless phonecall.

PF always wastes a day, if it was in the afternoon then it will arrive the following day in theory or the day after but backdated

I suppose that's sensible. Annoying though, I want to know where my money is

I recall you mentioning that previously. However, normally if I arrange an e-transfer within Switzerland in the afternoon or evening, it invariably goes through first thing the following morning.

Re: Closing an account; transferring balance delay

Just checked and it's gone through.
Interesting though, transferring from account to account (eg current to savings or vice versa) in PF happens instantaneously, whereas with Raiffeisen it's booked the next working day.

Re: Closing an account; transferring balance delay

I have to sign up/unlock large sums of money on a regular basis (as VP of a company)- and it always goes through the next day- both with Post Office and BCN (Banque Neuchâteloise).(sadly as VP and unpaid... just in case someone asks).

With PF there is an express option if done in the morning. AKB to UBS was always same day if done in the morning.

I can send USD from Charles Schwab to HSBC in Malta it arrives the same day if done early, or the following day if done by 22.00 Swiss time.
