Questiin about the Tax free stamp in EU

Hi everybody,

I have a question about the Global BlueTax refund.

I have bought a product in Milano a day ago. However I travelled with bus and they don't stop at the border and let me get the custom stamp on my tax free paper.

Does anybody knows if I can bring my unused product, receipt, Swiss-permit and stamp in Konstanz? I heard that there is a tax free desk at the train station. Since I will not be able to travel with car, I can only do it at the train station if possible.

If anyone can answer my urgent question will be great! Thank you very much in advance!

Cheers

C.

No. Your paper needs to be stamped by the italian customs, not the swiss. Too late once you crossed the border

Italy is in EU. The goods are being exported from EU, so needs to be stamped in EU. Konstanz is in Germany. Germany is in EU. You have a short period (a couple of weeks, IIRC) to get your paperwork stamped.

But other than that, your useful information is all correct.

Wrong, it must be stamped when LEAVING the EU.

Only idiots would allow you to stamp it later (though there may be some, but it's illegal to do so).

You can go back into EU and re-export and get your paper stamped. The goods you buy VAT-free must leave the EU by the end of the third month after that in which you buy them (So, a lot longer than two weeks).

Yes, but that would be smuggling.

OK Tom.

Can you drop a note to Global Blue and EU to update their websites?

It needs to be stamped when you leave EU territory, wherever that maybe be, i may decide to fly from Italy to Greece, then to Switzerland. My form would need to be stamped by the Greeks, in this case.
