Deduction from credits interest and Quellensteuer

Hi forum

I have a question about the quellensteuer applicated to B permit holders (like me)
I have many small credits from my own country France (school, car, etc...), and for this i don't have a lot of money in the begining of the month (something like 40% left), so i decide to take a big one here in switzerland (which became my main residance) to cover them all.
This credits will be around 80000.- and for 5 years, the total of interest for the bank are around 16000.- (so something like 3200.- per year)
is it possible to deduce this amount from my taxes (quellerensteuer or regular form) ?
A friend told me its possible (and without limit) for the B permit holder but the salary brutto must be at least 10000 (i have actully 9000), is this right ?
This same friend told me too, if i live (not married) with a swiss citizen or a C permit holder, I can ask to stop the quellerensteuer and fullfil a taxes declaration like every body, is this true ?

ps: my B permit the expire date is 2012 (so for 5 years)

Thank you for yours advices and tips to resolve my problems

Have a great Sunny day

Re: Deduction from credits interest and Quellensteuer

Not familiar with eligibility for filing returns.

If you are allowed to file a tax return, then you can
  • Deduct loan from taxable wealth
  • Deduct interest from taxable income
There is a special tax form, which in German is known as the "Schuldenverzeichnis".

However, there is an upper limit to deductions. Vaguely remember it as deductible loan interest cannot exceed half of income. Ask at your commune office.
