Exchange rate CHF - EUR: where is the best rate in Basel?

Hey guys,

am just curious if anyone of you can give me any tips on exchanging CHF to EUR in Basel. I heard the Bad Bahnhof in Basel offers a good rate, but not sure whether it is better than bank? Any advice? Thanks so much.

You can change to the Euro at almost any bank for a good rate. Same with some post offices. Look for the CHANGE at the Post.

Exchange places are rip offs!

How much money are we talking here? For a significant amount it's worth watching the daily rate and waiting for a good time for the exchange.

I have http://www.xe.com email me out an exchange rate report every day and then just do an international transfer through my bank.

www.wechselstube.ch always beat bank rates (who make their money in the bid-ask spread). They also keep you updated by email/sms on changes in your exchange rate of interest if you like. Savings are quite significant if you are changing amounts in the thousands.
