Anyone got recommendations for advisory with expertise on UK tax considerations for CH resident but UK domiciled (ie will go back one day) folks.

Topics I'm interested in are eg:
- making sure UK NI and pensions rights are protected
- getting life assurance at UK prices
- inheritance tax optimisation
- understanding best pension strategy for 3rd pillar bearing in mind will eventually want gbp

There is a service that LloydsTSB offer via its offshore bank and they have an adviser who visits Switzerland. I’ve never used this service so I can’t tell you what its like but they do seem to offer advice on the areas you mentioned. Have a look at the website of any UK bank and you will probably find a similar service.

Thanks for bringing this query up and relaunching it - has anybody had experience in the meantime since this was launched as we are interested in

- what happens to pension payments in the UK
- what if one has income in the UK e.g. from renting out the house (you never know you might want to go back)
- does the double taxation agreemnet between CH and UK help prevent you from paying tax twice and would you pay tax on rent income in the UK to the UK Authorities or to the Swiss authorities?

and so many more of those questions.

If any of you know of a tax advisor with experience in the specific link UK/CH, could you please let us know?
