I've giving some thought to using the current weakness of sterling and uk house prices to invest in some more uk property with a looong term view (15+) years. We currently still rent out our old uk home and use up our personal allowances. We've been out of the UK and in CH for more than 5 years.

Anyway I'm studying more complex structures that would cover, for example:
- allowing us to shelter profits by using up our largely untouched post A day UK pensions saving capacity
- shielding us from UK CGT on sales of the property even if we become UK residents again (a long shot this one)

Anyone studied this already and willing to give some leads in terms of ideas and/or advisors (I've seen the thread on advisors, but here Im thinking the specific CH/UK/property angle).

I found a pretty useful resource in the shape of several online (but not free) publications from

I am completely unrelated to them. I found the publications a good balance between explaining the issues in quite easy to follow terms, without oversimplifying the issues.

Anyway based on those, its not obvious that the planning opportunity I was after exists, or at least without excessive complexity.
