Currency Convert

I am going to travel to Hungary tomorrow but I have not yet exchanged any HUF.
Does anyone know where can I have the best exchange rate? Or should I exchange in Hungary instead?

Thx.

Re: Currency Convert

I have always used my Maestro card to get cash in the countries that I travel to. Usually this gives you the best rate unless your bank charges you an extraordinary amount for use of foreign atms. CS does not appear to have any 'gotcha' charges so far.

I have also gone to the CS in the airport to buy currency if I absolutely need to have the notes before leaving. This does cost an extra fee. IIRC, it was 10CHF. They will have HUF. There is also a UBS counter in the airport and I think there is some other private currency exchange like Thomas Cook.

Re: Currency Convert

My Maestro card is a bank card and most global cash points (ATMs) seem to accept Maestro/Plus/Star/Interlink. That is my experience in North America/Europe/Asia.
