US Dollars savings account

I wanted to open an account in Switzerland in US dollars and i was wondering if anybody know of any bank that pays more than 0% interest in US dollars accounts (0% is what UBS or postfinace are offering - not very attractive)
Thanks

With a 5 year Treasury only yielding about 2.2%, I would not expect banks to offer you a lot more than ZERO on a simple savings account.

I would say forget about the interest rate and go for services and account features... would it matter a lot if another bank offered you 0.25% ??

Re: US Dollars savings account

I am re-envigorating this thread in the hope of advice - we need to transfer some funds on a regular basis to the US. Does anyone have some good advice on how to do this cheaply (monthly amounts) - and efficiently ?

Does anyone have experience with using a bank which has branches both in Switzerland and in the USA, to move money between accounts on both sides ?

Thanks!

Moving money to a Charles Schwab brokerage account cost nothing, they can receive CHF & you will get a USD check book & Visa Debit card. Money arrives the same day if sent from CH early.
