UBS offers all credit cards free for a year, except Platinum

UBS has an offer right now until July in which the first year of their credit card is free, including any partner cards.

The offer does not apply to Platinum or the very basic card that they just introduced. But standard, gold etc. do fall under this offer. You have to get the offer envelop from a branch I think, as it does not seem heavily advertised....The plus of these cc's is that they include a basic travel insurance, or a more extensive one for 72chf a year per family.

Unless you got a UBS card last year with the free year...

An alternative to the UBS cards is the PostFinance Visa Gold, which is free if you charge at least CHF 6'000 per year. Other incentives include a 0.75% cash back on purchases (1.5% in the first year) and a 0.9% fee on foreign currency charges (versus 2.5% at some other institutions). I had a UBS card for a few years and found their KeyClub bonus program rather useless.

Yes you are right, the Keyclub is very inflated unless you are superrich, and then the card can become free, but that is no use to me either.

What about the Postcard Gold, do they automatically make it free after the 6k or do you have to undertake action??
