Hi

I am planning on leaving Australia mid-way through the tax year ( December) and starting a job in Switzerland).....the Australian tax year runs feom July 1 -June 30.

Can I settle my tax affairs in Australia and essentially open a new account in Switzerland.........this would be advantageous as I would get the benefit of full year's allowance in Australia but only a half year's income ....ie. I would pay less tax.

Or would the swiss taxman levy tax on me based on my earnings in Australia

Any thoughts wold be appreciated.
