Thinking of changing over from my BKB account, which is free of cost for a salary account, but charges CHF40 per ATM card per year (This makes it CHF 80 including a card for my wife). Plus the depot charges (for the share account) of CHF 60 per year.
What is the best private account around? Is Post account a possibility. All I need is a joint account for me and my wife (will be the main salary account), e-banking, 2 ATM cards (important to have international ones!). What is the best deal around with good coverage? Post, UBS...?? Suggestions, please..

Comparis might help but Post is almost free.....I have not seen any charges yet.

All banks charge Sfr 40.-- for 1 card, as it is not the banks that issue directly but Maestro (?) 2 cards will cost Sfr 80.-- not entirely sure Post cards are international, best check first.

Cantonal banks are usualy better than the big banks unless you have lots of $$, they also have 100% guarantee on the accounts, or at least BCF (Fribourg) does.

Post cards can be used at bank machines worldwide. I've used mine in the US and throughout Europe without any issues. The cost is nearly free, minimal charges, but they do charge a small amount for out of the country withdrawls.
