can you choose if you can to do it separate or together with your couple here in switzerland?

In Switzerland you won't have a choice. As a married couple you will be taxed together. Legally separated and you are taxed individually.

Until now you must file together - however, rumor is they are changing this in the coming years to the great relief of many taxpayers living in the 21st century.
