that said, if you need to be in the area for jobs and earn enough money to make it worthwhile, you might like to live across the river in gemeinde Flurlingen.

Each Canton decides it's own budget. The tax rates change slowly over the years as the need to build new schools or hospitals arise.

Different Cantons finance their hospitals differently. You should also take health insurance into the calculation, there might be a difference, even sometimes several different rates inside the same Canton.

I think I read that starting 2012 (?) these differences will disappear, as the financing models will change.
