| | | Have PostFinance sent you a gift? Jelly tots or Sprungli?
A few days ago we got a box sent to us from Postfinance- we opened it and saw a little bag of jelly tots - what a waste was our reaction and threw it in the bin (and recycled all their packing).
Anyway yesterday another one arrived addressed to my company - oh not another I thought. But inside was a 300g box of Sprungli Pralines (edit: actually Truffes).
So it seems like they are saying this is what we think of you, depending on what you are sent.
What did you get? Are there other gifts/'levels' in their judgement of their clients?

A small pack of jelly tots - complete waste of money and packaging IMO...
The truffles on the other hand...

I would prefer no gifts and more interest, or simply they give me a credit if they've got money to give away. Then I can decide if the money should be used on jelly tots, truffles or something else of my choice. And giving some Truffles, some jelly tots and some nothing I'm not sure is good PR.

Clearly, working for ETHZ (not in Zurich) does not have its privileges. |

The truffles on the other hand... | | | | | Also got the "jelly tots" (all though they are not real jelly tots see pic below of real jelly tots )
Was a nice thought but considering the economic situation one has to wonder if the cost of this exercise is justifiable.
The packaging alone must have cost a fortune, never mind the goodies therein.
Another example of finance institution madness? |

DOnt tell me you did the same with the Sprungli ones? | | | | | The few jelly tots were thrown away in disgust as a shameful waste of money, postage and packing. The Sprungli ones will be savoured. But still think it's a strange campaign...

I've not received anything (yet). I only opened my account a couple of weeks ago. I'm still so impressed that their online banking website, and staff, use such excellent English that I think they're great. Freebies or not.

Come on, admit it, you simply don't like jelly tots |

and what it must be costing Postfinance... http://www.spruengli.ch/schokoladen-...p?catalog=1008 | | | | | It's advertising, same as anything else. I don't see them doing it on the telly (which must be a huge undertaking), so they have decided on a different campaign, with something back for once, by way of thanks, to the customer (of course, with the hope you continue to be one).
I too received the jelly tots, In a way, it is no less than the crappy roll-up calendar sent to me by the firm I bought my car from.
At least the lollies were eatable, the calendars always get biffed in the bin, ugly, ugly things they are.

And whatever principles I have, they certainly don't run to binning a box of Sprüngli Truffes. They are going down the toilet instead, the long way....
