| Hello,
I have a question regarding taxation if you live in Vaud and work in Geneva.
I have tax deducted at source by my employer in Geneva but for 2008, I had to complete a tax return for Vaud. I included my certificats de salaires to show that I had already close to Chf17'000 in tax at source.
I have now received my tax bill from Vaud and they are taxing me an additional Chf13'000. Can this be correct? I do not see anywhere on the tax bill the confirmation of the tax I have already paid in Geneva.
Please help!! Any comments welcome. Thanks | |

Unfortunately it's very common that the tax at source is not transferred to your tax account, not only between tax authorities, but also within the same tax office!
Check the tax assessment, it should show how much you have for cantonal, communal and federal tax. If the total is 13K, then you probably didn't get the credit of the Geneva tax at source. You should therefore call the number mentioned on your tax assessment and request the tax credit.
