Goldman:1 ; SEC:0
Why?
Because the guys don't have a legal case, what they have is a political agenda.

' That's. Just. What. Investment. Banks. Do. He even resorted to something that sounded like a lesson out of Investment Banking 101: ""The act of selling something gives us the opposite position of the client." '
I have to agree with that score. It was painful watching McCain play to the crowd with his disingenuous wincing. The first senator tried hard, but Blankfein refused to answer the questions directly, claiming they did not make sense.

I am sure that GS was up to no good. The problem is that someone has to prove it. I am glad that they are being held under some scrutiny.

Re: SEC charges Goldman with Fraud

The current administration is infested with Goldman people. Here's a nice "little" list along with some others outside of Goldman. I am growing more and more to hate politicians - such whores!

Here it is in a nutshell, but don't miss the sordid details in the article, it's worth the read.

"Imagine how this will play out. The SEC has lodged a complaint against Goldman Sachs. Goldman’s former Vice President in charge of Business Intelligence sits in the SEC’s enforcement division while Obama’s former top lawyer, White House Counsel Gregory Craig, has gone to defend Goldman Sachs!"

"This penalty is symbolic, and it chiefly appears to symbolise the weakness of the SEC's legal case".

Case closed. Goldman: 2 , SEC: 0
