| I am a Canadian citizen, working in Switzerland on internship for one year. I am curious if anyone has experience getting their AHV pension payments returned/transferred when they leave the country???
I pay nearly 200CHF a month into two separate pensions. That adds up over 12 months. I had no problem getting one of the two pension I was paying into returned. Now just need to sort out the AHV.

AHV is partially returned if you move back to a country with which Switzerland has no social security treaty.
My impression is that Canada has a treaty with Switzerland. Hence, you might not get your AHV refunded. You would however get a Swiss pension when you retire.
