First, apologies to all if this has been in answered in the forums; yes, I did search but the information seemed to be in too many places...
And adding yet another Thread is going to help matters?

Ok, I'll move this to a Tax Thread and put the links I found in the Forum and in www.ch.ch (masses of info in here - link is already given in the information for newcomers...

Basic stuff. ch.ch

'Richard the knowledgable' - on Taxes The Thread is old but it will put you on the right track anyway.

This should give you, and anyone else asking similar questions, something to get your teeth into.

I need tax help!

I moved to switzerland with my husband in October. I don't have a job yet but I'm taking French classes. We need to file for last year (just 3 months). We've received an extension until the end of June.

Are there any tax tricks to help us? I know nothing about the tax system here except that I've heard that owning property in another country can help (or does that make it more costly for us?).

Do things like tutition, transportation, living costs help? What do I need to bring to an accountant?

So far I know I have to take the statement of pay from my husband's work and our health insurance costs but that's it.

Let me know if you can recommend anyone in the Canton Vaud that does taxes.
Thanks for your help!

Re: I need tax help!

Judging by the 'post time' and lack of replies, it looks like everyone has the feeling they have answered enough questions on taxes for the time being. There are answers in this Thread and also links. Please search the forum a bit.
