Document to prove I have no debts at my current address?

Where does one go to obtain this? Would that be the Kreisburo or somewhere else? I live in Zurich.

Thank you in advance for any tips

yu willl get this in "betreibungsamt". Its not the kreisburo usually. Its a whole different office. Google for this together with your location.

There is no such document. Often requested, however, is a so-called Betreibungsregisterauszug, i.e. an enforced payment collection register record.

You can get the necessary form at http://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/content/...unftAntrag.pdf. Fill it in and send it to your local Betreibungsamt (or just go directly to your local Betreibungsamt, see http://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/portal/d...ngszeiten.html for the locations and opening hours).

I did this recently - I simply went along to the local Betreibungsamt, told them I needed a "Betreibungsauszug", paid CHF17, and that was that. Easy enough!
