VAT reclaim: under duty free limit

Quick question which I hope someone here can answer:

I have purchased about CHF250- worth of goods from a store in France. They've given me all the relevant paperwork to reclaim the VAT.

Where I'm over my duty-free limit, the process is: present paperwork to Swiss customs, pay 7.6% duty, walk to French side, present paperwork again (with receipt from Swiss customs), receive lots of rubber stamps, and return paperwork to vendor by post.

As this is under my daily duty-free limit of CHF300-, what's the procedure?

Stop at a manned customs station, present paperwork to French side (no evidence of Swiss tax paid), receive rubber stamps, jump back in my car and continue home (without making any kind of declaration to the Swiss authorities?

Is that right?

Re: VAT reclaim: under duty free limit

yes, you are right. Just get the paper stamped without paying 7.6% swiss VAT. This is what I do all the time when the purchased item is within duty free limit.
