Cheap bank account

Hi I am moving in Ticino for a Master and I need to open a bank account but I got a problem...

I am slightly OVER 30 so I am afraid that cheap students offers aren't avialable to me despite regularly being enroled in a Swiss Uni...

Suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Cheap bank account

Postfinance.ch and the Kantonalbanks are both cheap as chips for standard private accounts. I think Postfinance charge CHF 3/mth if you don't keep a significant balance with them, and our Kantonalbank charge CHF 20/yr for a basic account with a Maestro cash/payment card.

Re: Cheap bank account

UBS is providing a standard maestro account and card for 40 per year, if you want to go with a bigger bank.
