This is my first tip to Switzerland with my yellow PostFinance card, and I was hoping that all post offices would have a Postomat. Surprise, all three villages I have stayed in so far have none (St-Luc, VS; Evolène, VS; Mürren, BE). So far I have had no problems, getting cash from the post office during working hours. But with some remote post offices open three hours a day (St-Luc, for example) it may get difficult.

On the other hand every village I have been in has at least one ATM; either Raiffeisen or the local Cantonal Bank. Do they accept PostFinance cards, and if so what, on average, do they charge in fees?

If you have more the 25K in your combined postfinance accounts, the charges for withdrawing cash in third party banks all over Switzerland are free.

I just got charged 12 chf for this month i guess. you can use the card everywhere.

this is available worldwide. just used mine in ESP and and only got charged the FX.
